April 10-14, 2023 the Federal Environmental, Industrial and Nuclear Supervision Service (Rostechnadzor) conducted a scheduled inspection at AO Sosny R&D Company to check compliance of the Company's licensed activities with federal regulations and rules in the field of the use of atomic energy and conformity with safety and quality requirements when performing work.
The inspection to check compliance with license conditions covered the following activities:
- design and development of nuclear installations,
- design, development, and manufacture of equipment and automated systems for nuclear facilities.
The inspection studied quality assurance programs for design and development of equipment and automated systems, quality plans for design of Safety Class 3 equipment as per NP-016-05.
The Commission found that the Sosny R&D Company has a sufficient staff of skilled experts to design and manufacture the equipment. The personnel undergo regular training and certification in compliance with regulatory requirements.
The inspection findings state that the Sosny R&D Company's licensed activities fully comply with the federal regulations and rules in the field of the use of nuclear energy.
