VIII International exhibition and conference "AtomEco-2015" took place in the World Trade Center in Moscow on November 9-11. The main goal of it was to discuss ecological issues of atomic energy.
The main topic of the conference in 2015 was a summary of the results of Federal Special Purpose Program "Provision of nuclear and radiation safety in 2008 and in the period up to 2015" and discussion of Nuclear and Radiation Safety Federal Special Purpose Program for the period of 2016-2030. The state customer and coordinator of the program is Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.
A representative of Sosny R&D Company B. Kanashov participated in the roundtable "New technologies and engineering solutions in SNF management". Together with the representatives of Mayak PA he prepared a report "Building-up of Infrastructure and Beginning of Regular Shipments of Defective RBMK SNF for Reprocessing" dedicated to the issues of reprocessing of accumulated stocks of spent fuel assemblies at NPPs with RBMK-1000 reactors.
